GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan's teams continue to maintain their rankings in the regional and national polls.
Field hockey is ranked 10th nationally in the latest NFHCA poll and is looking to rebound from last weekend's loss at Haverford. The Profs are 3-2 and take to the road again on Wednesday, September 22 at Dickinson and then at Cabrini on Saturday.
The 6-0 men's soccer team moved up to 12th in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 and is third in the region. The Profs (1-0 NJAC) have won all of their games on the road and will finally get to play in front of the home crowd on Saturday, September 25, when they host Rutgers-Newark at 7 p.m.
The Rowan men's cross country team retained its #2 ranking in the Metro Region as the USTFCCCA released its weekly regional rankings. The Profs sit behind Haverford in the top spot followed by TCNJ, who moved up to third, DeSales in fourth, and Swarthmore in fifth. Nationally, Rowan is ranked 29th, sliding down four spots from their previous spot.
The team was in action last Friday at the Iona College Meet of Champions where Rowan placed sixth out of 10 scoring teams and was one of two Division III schools at the meet. Next up, the Profs head to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run on Friday, October 1.
The women's cross country team is ranked ninth in the Metro Region. The Profs slipped three places down from sixth, just ahead of Eastern in 10th.Rowan gets back to action on Friday, October 1 when it visits Lehigh for the annual Paul Short Run.
And finally, the women's soccer team is slotted in third in the United Soccer Coaches Region IV Poll, moving up a spot from fourth. Nationally, the Profs are receiving votes in the Division III Poll for the first time this season.
