PITMAN, NJ -- The New Jersey Athletic Conference cited Tanner Grozinski, Greg Ferreira, Aidan Brad, and Shannon Stakelbeck among its weekly award winners for the week ending September 20th.

Grozinski earned NJAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors. The freshman forward recorded a career-best five points as he scored one goal and handed out three assists in the 7-0 win at Manhattanville. Grozinski assisted on Rowan's first two goals and then scored one in the 52nd minute. He then followed that with another assist just four minutes later as the Profs built up a 4-0 lead early in the second half. The freshman leads the Profs in scoring with nine points, including a team-high five assists. 

Ferreira notched the NJAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as the senior back was a key defender for the squad that recorded back-to-back shutouts last week. He played a key role as Rowan held #9 Scranton scoreless, and with only six shots, in the 0-0 draw. Ferreira then helped limit Manhattanville to seven shots in the Profs' 7-0 win on the road. 

Brad was selected the NJAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. The senior was the top Rowan finisher on Saturday at the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton, placing sixth (25:53.8) out of over 150 runners on the 8k course. As a team, the Profs finished second overall.

Stakelbeck claimed the NJAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award after placing third overall (22:32.8) as Rowan claimed the team title at Stockton's Osprey Open on Saturday. She was the highest NJAC/Division III finisher in the race and had the fastest 6k time out of anyone in the NJAC this past weekend.

Men's Soccer (5-0-1) have recorded shutouts in three consecutive games while outscoring their opponents, 15-2, this year. Rowan will next host Arcadia on September 23rd. 

Both the men's and women's cross country teams are back at it on Friday, October 2nd at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh.
