GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan baseball team is one step closer to fulfilling its goal of winning the conference championship, as the top-seeded Profs will host second-seeded William Paterson in the finals of the 2021 NJAC Championship Tournament. The best-of-three series begins with a noon doubleheader on Friday, May 21 at the Rowan Baseball Field and if a third game is necessary, it will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m. The NJAC champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Rowan (23-4), which moved up to eighth in the national rankings by D3baseball.com, has won four straight and 14 of its last 15 games. The Profs swept Kean in the semifinal series while 19th-ranked William Paterson (27-6) reached this point with a sweep of TCNJ last weekend.

** A limited number of Rowan student-athletes' family members will be admitted via a pass list. Spectators are required to wear masks and are asked to maintain social distancing in the facility. All fans must exit the facility once the game has concluded.
Rowan is seeking its first NJAC title since 2018 and its second under coach
Mike Dickson, who was named the 2021 NJAC Coach of the Year. The Profs have won 16 conference championships in school history and have made 26 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, with the last coming in 2019.
The Profs' offense has outscored its foes by 100 runs, 312-212, and leading the way are senior 3B/DH

Ryan Murphy. McIsaac is batting .410 with a team-high 40 runs scored and 15 doubles, to go along with five home runs and 21 RBI. Murphy is hitting .409 and tops the team with eight home runs and 31 RBI. Junior LF
Ryan Mostrangeli is hitting at a .349 clip and has driven in 20 runs. Senior 2B
Alex Kokos, batting .300 with 24 RBI, is second on the Profs' career list for hits with 221, just shy of the record of 228 held by Mike Rucci '05.

Drew Ryback, the NJAC Pitcher of the Year, is 6-1 with 57 strikeouts and is joined in the starting rotation by sophomore righthander
Eli Atiya and senior righthander
Donald Zellman. Atiya is 7-1 with 55 strikeouts with Zellman owning a 4-0 record and a 1.43 ERA. NJAC "Fireman of the Year"
Zach Listro has posted a career-high five saves this season.
