Senior catcher
Jared Marks is this week's featured student-athlete for "Know Your Profs". He has started nine games behind the plate this year for the nationally-ranked Rowan baseball team and is batting .346 with eight runs and four RBI. Marks, one of the Profs' team captains, went 3-for-3 with three runs scored in the recent 15-11 win over Rutgers-Newark. An accounting major, Marks has been recognized as a Rowan Scholar-Athlete three times and was inducted into the Chi Sigma Alpha National College Athlete Honor Society in 2020.
What was the biggest factor that led you to choose Rowan?
Rowan updating their facilities like the Business Building as well as playing baseball. It was also far enough from home but close enough that if I wanted to go home at any time, I could.

What is your most memorable moment in sports, whether at Rowan or before?
Freshman year when we won the NJAC Tournament.

If you could play any other sport in college, what would it be and why?
Soccer because I played my entire life until college and really enjoyed it.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
Probably one of the Caribbean Islands for the weather and beaches
