Mason Dorsey posted a career-high six RBI, and
Damon Suriani and
Joey Bogart each had four hits as #6 Rowan outscored TCNJ, 21-16, in an NJAC contest that saw the teams combine for 37 hits and use a total of 14 pitchers. Rowan improved to 22-3 and 10-1 in the NJAC.

Dorsey was 3-for-4 with two runs and six RBI, while he had two doubles. Suriani went 4-for-5 with a run and an RBI and Bogart was 4-for-5 and scored four runs and drove in three. Other Profs with multiple hits were
Kyle Lamanteer (3) and
Luke Bickunas (2), while
Evan McCoach and
Ian Murphy drove in three runs each.

In the mix of seven pitchers used,
Evan Brasberger (2-0) emerged as the winning pitcher with 2.0 innings in which he struck out two.

Rowan appeared to have the game in hand at the start, scoring seven runs in the first inning. The Profs batted around and Suriani had two hits in the inning and McCoach hit a two-run double.

TCNJ (13-18; 3-8) answered with five in the top of the second, so Rowan countered with another three, led by a two-run single by Bogart to give the Profs a10-5 lead.

The Lions took an 11-10 lead with six runs in the third before Rowan tied it in the bottom half, as Suriani drove in a run with a double. Dorsey's two-run single in the fourth gave the home team a 13-11 lead but TCNJ tied it again with a pair of runs in the fifth.

Rowan scored six runs in the fifth as Murphy slugged a two-run homer, his third of the year, scoring Struble, to give the Profs the lead for good. By the end of the inning, the Profs had a 19-13 lead, as Dorsey, McCoach and Davis all drove in runs as well.

The Profs added their 20th run in the sixth after Bickunas doubled to score Bogart and then went up 21-13 as Dorsey hit his second double of the game, to bring home Bickunas.
It marked the third game in a week that Rowan scored 20 or more runs in a game. The Profs set a school record with a 29-11 win over Rutgers-Camden on April 9 and then notched a 24-3 victory over Rutgers-Newark in the second game of a doubleheader on April 11.Â

The teams meet again tomorrow in Ewing with Rowan hosting a doubleheader against #12 Kean on Saturday. It is Alumni Day and World Series Ring day with that ceremony to take place before first pitch at 11:30 a.m.
