EWING, NJ - A six-run seventh inning by TCNJ decided the game as the Lions defeated #6 Rowan, 12-8, to earn a split in the NJAC series played in the past two days, while snapping the Profs' six-game winning streak. Rowan won Thursday's meeting, 21-16.

Rowan (23-4; 10-2) used a three-run homer from
Brayden Davis in the third inning, his 10th of the season, to take a 4-3 lead. TCNJ went up, 5-4, in the third but
Evan McCoach hit a solo shot in the fourth, to tie the game at 5-5. It was McCoach's second homer of the year.

The Profs scored twice in the fifth to go up, 7-5, using RBI singles by
Ian Murphy and
Brett Chiesa.

After TCNJ Â (14-18; 4-8) added one in the fifth, the Lions exploded for six runs in the seventh, to take a 12-7 lead, on five hits and one Rowan error.

The Profs got one back in the eighth when
Damon Suriani drove in
Jason Schooley with a sacrifice fly, Rowan's three batters in the ninth were retired to give the Profs their first loss since April 4.

Davis had three RBI in the game, with McCoach going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
Ian Murphy was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored and Suriani notched an RBI.

Jake Andrey (1-2) took the loss in relief of Collins Denton and
Dane Samartino, with
Charlie Russell and
Shane Sax also seeing time on the mound.

The Profs will host #12 Kean in an NJAC doubleheader on Saturday with first pitch at 11:30 a.m. Rowan's 2025 NCAA Super Regional Champion team will be honored prior to game one.
