Austin Kreyenhagen allowed just one hit through seven innings to give #6 Rowan a 10-2 win over #12 Kean in the nightcap and salvage a split in the NJAC baseball doubleheader today. Kean won the first game, 14-2. The Profs are now 24-5 on the year and 11-3 in the conference.

GAME 1: Kean 14-Rowan 2
After a two-run homer by Jude Clough in the first inning, Kean used a seven-run fifth inning to take a 9-0 lead. The Cougars added two more in the sixth to take a commanding 11-0 advantage.

Brayden Davis provided the only offense for the Profs with a two-run homer in the sixth, his 11th of the year, which scored
Damon Suriani.

Kean added two more in the eighth to close out the victory with Profs' starter
Zach Coluccio (3-1) taking the loss in 5.2 innings of work.
Â
Damon Suriani was 2-for-4 with a run and Davis was 2-for-5 with one run and two RBI as the Profs were limited to seven hits.

GAME 2: Rowan 10 - Kean 2
Kreyenhagen allowed only one run and one hit in 7.0 innings to improve his record to 4-1 on the year.
Christian Rice and
Nick Watson combined for the final two innings to preserve the victory.

Davis led the way offensively, going 3-for-4 with a run and two RBI, with McCoach going 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and
Brett Chiesa going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Rowan took a 3-0 lead after two innings. McCoach led off with a single and advanced on a single by Davis and fielder's choice from Struble, while scoring on a wild pitch. In the second inning,
Luke Bickunas singled to bring home Chiesa, who led off with a base hit, and
Joey Bogart scored on a sacrifice bunt by
Mason Dorsey.

Kean (25-9-1; 9-5) got its only run off Kreyenhagen in the third and then Rowan added three more in the fourth. The Profs took advantage of a Kean error as Bickunas socred and then Davis hit an RBI double, and Struble singled in a run, to take a 6-1 lead.

Rowan tacked on four more in the fifth to take a 10-1 lead with RBI singles from Bogart, McCoach and Davis, and Chiesa scoring on a wild pitch.

The Profs will host Immaculata in a non-conference game on Tuesday and then play a two-game series with NJCU this week. Rowan will visit the Gothic Knights on Thursday and then have a home game on Friday.
