Nick Struble drove in six runs and
Brayden Davis had four RBI on the day as #6 Rowan swept Rutgers-Newark by scores of 9-4 and 24-3 on "Senior Day" in an NJAC doubleheader. The Profs (21-3; 8-1) have now won five in a row, while outscoring their foes, 62-15, in the past three games.

In the doubleheader, Struble was 4-for-8 with two runs and six RBI; Davis was 4-for-5 with five runs and 4 RBI;
Mason Dorsey was 3-for-5 with five runs and two RBI with
Kyle Lamanteer going 3-for-9 and scoring four runs.
Game 1: Rowan 9 - Rutgers-Newark 4
McCoach drove in three runs and Davis and Dorsey had two hits each, while
Zach Coluccio upped his record to 3-0, striking out seven in 7.0 innings.
Rowan struck first when Davis singled, stole second and came home on a single from
Ian Murphy to take a 1-0 lead in the first.
The Scarlet Raiders tied it in the third inning but the Profs added five in the fourth as Bogart, McCoach and Suriani each drove in a run with singles, to go up 6-1. Rowan added a run each in the next three innings by way of an RBI walk by Davis, RBI single from Dorsey and a sacrifice fly from Struble to lead 9-2.
Rutgers-Newark got two runs back in the final two innings but
Jack Norton and
Dane Samartino kept them at bay and preserved the win.
Game 2: Rowan 24 - Rutgers-Newark 3
For the second time in two days, the Profs put up 20-plus runs on the board. Rowan took an early 3-0 lead and Rutgers-Newark (11-17; 3-7) came within, 3-2, but then the Profs exploded for nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
In the eight-run fifth, Rowan had four hits and took advantage of two errors. Struble drove in four runs in the inning, including a three-run double that increased the score to 12-2.
The Profs added six more in the sixth, with runs driven in by Davis, Lamanteer, Struble and Murphy.
Aiden Ryder picked up his first career hit and first RBI with a single as the Profs pounded six hits en route to an 18-2 lead.
Two more runs crossed the plate in the seventh, including an RBI single by
Brett Chiesa, to increase the lead to 20-3. Rowan added four in the eighth with
Kevin Cole, Chiesa and McCoach driving in runs while
Jake Bartletta got the first RBI of his career.
Collin Denton (3-1) had five strikeouts in 5.0 innings to pick up the win, while the Profs sent a host of pitchers to the mound with
Evan Brasberger, and seniors
Jayson Dougherty,
Shane Sax and
Charlie Russell each getting an inning of work.
The Profs will take a break from conference play on Wednesday as they host Haverford in a single game at 3:30 p.m.
