CORTLAND, NY – The Rowan University women's outdoor track & field team competed on the first day of the All-Atlantic Track & Field Conference Championships on Wednesday. The two-day meet is held at SUNY Cortland.
Aspen McMillan (sr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) qualified for the final in the 100 meter hurdles on Thursday, as she placed first in the prelims with a time of 14.37.
Darielle Cross (jr. Cliffwood, NJ/Matawan Reg.) and
Ashley Edwards (fr. Parlin, NJ/Sayreville War Mem.) also advanced to the final as they finished fourth (14.80) and eighth (15.51) respectively.
Aaniyah Robinson (so. Totowa, NJ/Passaic County Tech.) took first in the 100 meter dash prelims with a time of 12.12.
Sidney McLeod-Whitener (so. Philadelphia, PA/Friends' Central School) was eighth in 12.52. Both runners qualified for the final.
The 4x400 meter relay team of
Melina Johnson (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.),
Claire Incantalupo (sr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta),
Myiah Sturdivant (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.) and
Dani Nicklas (jr. Bellmawr, NJ/Audubon) claimed fourth with a season best time of 3:52.46.
Madison Edwards (fr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) earned fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase in 11:54.17.
Olivia Scattergood (so. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) finished 11th in the hammer throw with a season top mark of 148' 11" (45.40 m).
Morgan Carr (fr. Hardyston, NJ/Wallkill Valley Reg.) was 15th in the javelin, tossing 100' 7" (30.67 m).
