ResultsGLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's track and field defeated Georgian Court University, 127.50-65.50 and Lehman College, 151.00-22.00 in a tri-meet on Friday.
Catherine Dougherty (jr. Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) won the 1500 meter run (4:48.44).
Melirah Searcy (sr. Edison, NJ/Edison) finished first in the 400 meter dash (57.27) and the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.08).
Christin Bettis (jr. Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton) had a first place in the 800 meter run (2:21.39) and the 3000 meter run (10:31.87).
Michele Relation (sr. Paulsboro, NJ/Paulsboro) took first (97' 2", 29.61 meters) in the discus and second (121' 2", 36.94 meters) in the hammer throw.
Melissa Lake (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) came in first (117' 4", 35.77 meters) in the javelin.
Courtney Muraczewski (so. Cedar Run, NJ/Southern Reg.) came in second (4:56.61) in the 1500 meter run and
Christina Ricci (jr. Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood) was third (4:58.29). In the 100 meter dash,
Shailah Williams (jr. Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) and
Nia Lawrence (so. Hainesport, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) finished second (12.52) and third (12.78) respectively. Williams also came in second in the 200 meter dash (25.20) and the high jump (5' 2.25", 1.58 meters).
The 800 meter run had
Claire Corbett (so. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) take second (2:23.91) and
Brianna Angellella (fr. Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Reg.), third (2:24.69).
Onyi Obelle (jr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) was second (11:02.84) and
Alexis Conte (fr. Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat), third (11:15.14) in the 3000 meter run. In the long jump,
Anyssa Sanchez (fr. Stratford, NJ/Sterling) finished second with a leap of 16' 1.5" (4.91 meters) and
Nicole Ras (so. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.) took third with a distance of 15' 10.5" (4.84 meters).
Jessalynn Wright (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) came in third (58.58) in the 400 meter dash.
Rebecca Malos (so. Wall, NJ/Wall) was third (15.43) in the 100 meter hurdles.
Amanda Brown (so. Edison, NJ/Edison) and
Brianna Angellella (fr. Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Reg.) both finished third in the 400 meter hurdles (1:07.14) and the high jump (4' 10.25", 1.48 meters) respectively. In the discus,
Nicole Sanelli (fr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) was third with a throw of 88' 2" (26.87 meters).
Grace Montgomery (fr. Nutley, NJ/Nutley) finished third (103' 7", 31.57 meters) in the javelin and
Kyanna Hawkins-Deravin (fr. Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton Twp.) was third (36' 7", 11.15 meters) in the shot put.
The 4x100 meter relay A team of Williams, Lawrence, Wright and
Lexxus Matos (so. Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) had a first place (48.47).
Kelly Vogt (so. Audubon, NJ/Audubon),
Tatyana Butler (fr. Edison, NJ/Edison), Angellella and Amanda Brown were third (52.52).
The Profs' A team took first (4:03.14), the B team, second (4:12.52) and the C team, third (4:18.66) in the 4x400 meter relay.
Jewel Brown (so. Clayton, NJ/Clayton), Wright,
Tashay Wilson (sr. Hillside, NJ/Hillside) and Searcy were on the A team. The B team included Williams,
Angellella,
Claire Incantalupo (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) and Amanda Brown.
Vanessa Valdes (jr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack), Muraczewski, Corbett and Dougherty ran on the C team.
