Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team defeated Kean University, 5-2 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Friday night.

Johanna James (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) led the Profs with two goals. Forward
Rachel Galante (fr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) contributed with one goal and one assist. Forward
Jenna Pressler (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) produced one goal and two assists. Forward
Sam Browne (sr. West Milford, NJ/West Milford) registered one goal
The Profs are 10-4 overall with a seven-game win streak and they are 3-0 in the conference. The Cougars have a 12-4 record and a 1-3 NJAC mark. For Kean, forward Raykena Brown (so. Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Reg.) and midfielder Marissa Robinson (sr. Bear, DE/William Penn) scored one goal apiece. Forwards Jordan Colna (jr. Washington Twp., NJ/Washington Twp.) and Krista LaMaina (so. Oaklyn, NJ/Collingswood) both registered an assist.

Carly DeMarco (so. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) stopped five shots. For Kean, goalie Katie DiCarlo (sr. Shamong, NJ/Seneca) made four saves.
Pressler gave the Profs a 1-0 advantage at the break. She scored on a backhand into the right side of the cage at 22:05. In the second half, Browne deflected Pressler's shot for the second goal (46:54). At 49:17, James redirected Galante's shot into the cage. Kean got on the scoreboard at 50:32. Robinson blasted a shot from the top of the circle on a corner by LaMaina.
Galante's goal came on a penalty stroke (56:14). Brown hit the cage at 66:18 and Colna had the assist. James scored the final tally at 67:52 when she tipped in Pressler's shot.
Next, Rowan travels to number one ranked The College of New Jersey on Tuesday, Oct. 24 for a 7:30 p.m. game.
