COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Rowan Women's Swimming finished in fourth place at the inaugural New Jersey Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships that wrapped up Sunday evening at the University of Maryland.

The Profs racked up 947 points with Montclair State in third (1,004), Salisbury in second (1,032), and Mary Washington claiming the first-ever conference swimming title with 1,204 points.
Ella Pennington broke her own school record in the 200 backstroke, timing in at 2:01.33 in the preliminaries, and later hit 2:01.39 to claim first in the finals. Both marks are NCAA 'B' cut times as well.
Sofie Hogue was sixth (2:08.97) and
Lindsay Cave took eighth (2:21.98) in the event.
On the 400 free relay,
Elizabeth Jones,
Barbara Mora,
Laura Jones, and Pennington took third place in a season-best time of 3:34.90.
Laura Jones would hit a season best time in the 100 free preliminary (53.05), go on to finish fitth in the finals (53.68).
Over the four-day meet, Pennington broke two school records and turned in three NCAA B cut times.
