PITMAN, NJ -- Ella Pennington was named the 2024-25 New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year as the NJAC announced its year-end awards and all-conference teams.

Pennington, a six-time NJAC Swimmer of the Week, swept the backstroke events at the NJAC Championships and added a gold medal in the 100 fly for the second year in a row, setting new NJAC championship meet records in all three events in the process. She also was also a member of Rowan's two silver medal relays, including the 400 and 800 freestyle relays and an honorable mention in the 400 medley relay.

From there, the junior earned All-America status three individual events at the NCAA Division III Championships, including First Team All-America accolades in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke along with Second Team honors in the 100 butterfly. She placed third overall in the 200 back, seventh in the 100 back, and ninth in the 100 fly to finish among the nation's top 10 best in all three of her qualifying events.

Kaitlyn Crouthamel was cited in four events; a first-team selection in the 1650 free, two second-team picks in the 400 IM and the 800 free relay, and an honorable mention in the 400 free.

Joining Pennington and Crouthamel on the 800 free relay for second-team honors was Trisha Lau and Lilyanna Martin, and on the 400 free relay with Barbara Mora and Laura Jones. Pennington, Jones, Martin, and Rhylee Cornell were cited with an honorable mention in the 400 medley relay.
