GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan Women's Swimming won 12 of 14 events to take down Stevens, 175-87, in the team's season opener at the Tony Lisa Natatorium on Saturday. The squad also held its PINK OUT meet in support of the HEADStrong Hope Venture Fund, helping raise money for families affected by cancer with financial, emotional and residential support.
FINAL RESULTS
Kaitlyn Crouthamel had quite the day, winning the 200 free (1:58.14), 500 free (5:18.57), and 1000 free (10:51.69), and was also a member of the 200 free relay (1:43.63).
Rhylee Cornell and
Trisha Lau also claimed multiple events. Cornell was the top finisher in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.49) and 200 breaststroke (2:29.79), while Lau took down the 200 backstroke (2:13.82) and 200 IM (2:15.07). The duo joined
Lilyanna Martin and
Barbara Mora to win the 200 medley relay (1:53.20).
Other individual winners included Martin in the 200 butterfly (2:13.71),
Leia Wolf in the 100 backstroke (1:03.33), and rookie
Peyton Stauffer in the 100 free (55.69).
The team of Crouthamel, Stauffer, Wolf, and Mora was first in the 200 free relay as well (1:43.63).
Next up is a meet at Montclair State next Friday, October 17th in a 5 p.m. start.
