GALLOWAY, NJ -- Rowan captured the 2024 NCAA Metro Region Championship on Saturday as the Profs totaled 81 points to edge out second-place Swarthmore with 86 points for its first-ever regional title, in the meet hosted by Stockton.

The Profs will now automatically advance to the NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship next weekend in Terre Haute, IN with Rose-Hulman serving as the hosts.
Mia Guerra was one of four runners to finish in the top 20, as the senior was sixth (22;17.1).
Anna Sasse was eighth (22:18.9), while
Ally Wernik was 12th (22:50.4) and
Gabriella Pagano was 15th (23:03.3).
Emily Zanni was 40th (23:54.8) to round out the five-person scoring.
TCNJ (99 points) was third overall followed by Widener (109 points) in fourth and Moravian (155 points) in fifth.
Moravian's Tara Smurla conquered the 6k course in a top time of 21:40.8. Widener's Gabriella Nye was second (22:01.3) with Ramapo's Dale Leonard in third (22:10.9).
The top teams at each of the 10 regionals qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships with 22 at-large teams to be selected as well. The top 35 place winners earn All-Region honors while the top seven finishers not on the winning regional team will move on to the NCAA Division III Championship next weekend.
