MANAHAWKIN, NJ. — Julia Cavicchio and Tess Herman of the third-ranked Rowan field hockey team have been named to the 2023 NFHCA Watchlist, which is intended to showcase the student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to this year's NFHCA All-American Teams.

NFHCA WATCH LIST

Cavicchio and Herman were key players on the Profs' defense last year which limited the opponents to just 24 goals in 23 games, as Rowan made its second straight appearance in the NCAA Semifinals.

Cavicchio, a junior back, earned All-Region IV First Team honors in 2022 and was named to the NJAC All-Conference First Team. She also posted a career-best 23 points, with eight goals and seven assists, while being named the NJAC's Defensive Player of the Week once during the year.

Herman, a sophomore back, was selected to the All-Region Second Team and earned the NJAC's Rookie of the Year award last season. She received NJAC weekly honors four times, including three times as the NJAC Rookie of the Week, while scoring four goals on the year.

A total of 136 student-athletes from 55 Division III institutions were named to the 2023 NFHCA Watchlist sponsored by Victory Sports Tours.

This list is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2023 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years and the student-athlete's head coach must be an active NFHCA member.

This list does not constitute a nomination or selection to the NFHCA All-Region or All-American teams. Student-athletes not listed on the NFHCA Watchlist may still be nominated for NFHCA All-Region and All-American recognition.
