GLASSBORO, NJ – The 19th-ranked Rowan baseball team will open play in the 2023 NJAC Baseball Championship on Thursday, May 4 when the top-seeded Profs host sixth-seeded Stockton in an opening round game. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for senior citizens, students and children, with no passes being accepted. The first 100 Rowan students will be admitted free.
Following Thursday's first-round games at the higher seeds, the tournament moves to Kean University with games on Saturday through Monday, May 6-8.

The Profs, 28-11 overall, captured their third straight NJAC regular-season title by finishing league play with a 12-4 record. Rowan last won the NJAC Championship in 2021 and will meet Stockton (22-18; 8-10 NJAC) for the third time in the past week.

Phil Sedalis tops the Profs offensively with his .458 average, has scored 57 runs and is tied with DH
Dylan Maria for the team lead in RBI with 58. Sedalis has eight triples this season, which is a new school single-season record, and hs is closing in on the records for hits and total bases. Second baseman
Tyler Cannon is hitting .393 and also set a Prof single-season record with 24 doubles.
On the mound,
Zach Grace is 5-0 with a team-high 76 strikeouts , with
Jason O'Neill owning a 6-1 mark and
Mike Shannon with a team-best 3.16 ERA and a 4-1 record.
Other first-round matchups on Thursday pit #5 TCNJ at #2 Kean and #4 William Paterson at #3 Montclair State.
