Rowan (33-13) reached this point by clinching the NCAA Ambler Regional hosted last week by Arcadia. The Profs, who were the NJAC regular-season champions, went 3-0 with a win over SUNY Brockport and two victories over Susquehanna. Salisbury (33-6) won the NCAA Harrisburg Regional by defeating Penn State Harrisburg, in a best-of-five regional last weekend (3-1).

Rowan and Salisbury met earlier this season (March 29) and the Sea Gulls scored a 6-4 win on their home field. The Profs last played here in the post-season in the 2019 NCAA Salisbury Regional, but fell twice to Washington & Jefferson and didn't advance to the Super Regionals.

The Profs own the seventh highest batting average (.351) in the nation, with 2B Tyler Cannon leading the NCAA in doubles (27), with Phil Sedalis ranking fourth in hits (83), as both players have set new school records. As a team, Rowan has set records for hits (598), doubles (128), RBI (389) and total bases (866).

Rowan is making its 29th appearance all-time in the NCAA Championships, and its seventh berth in the Regional Championship. The Profs reached the Willimantic (CT) Super Regional in 2022 where they fell to eventual NCAA champion Eastern Connecticut State but captured the Marietta (OH) Regional title in 2021 to advance to the College World Series.
