GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan's Ja'Zere Noel (men's basketball) and Ahmir Johnson (men's track & field) have earned weekly honors from the NJAC in their respective sports. Noel was the Men's Basketball Player of the Week and Johnson received the conference's Track Athlete of the Week honor.

Noel averaged 25.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in the Profs' two wins last week, while hitting 21-for-31 from the field (67.7 pct). He notched his third double-double of the season with 24 points and 11 rebounds in the 109-103 win at Montclair State, as he made 11-of-16 field goals. The junior forward then scored 27 points, while hitting 10-of-15 field goal attempts, in the 76-66 win at Rutgers-Newark.

In his first season with the Profs, Noel is averaging a team-best 21.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, while this is his second weekly conference honor of the year.

The Profs have now won five straight and own a 13-3 record, while remaining undefeated in the NJAC (9-0). Rowan will host Stockton in a key conference matchup on Wednesday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Johnson won the triple jump with one of the nation's best marks this season as Rowan earned eight first-place finishes at the Alvernia Winter Invitational.

The senior hit the mark of 14.48 meters in the triple jump and then took second in the long jump with a leap of 6.81 meters, behind teammate Nana Agyemang. Johnson's effort in the triple jump is the fifth best in Division III.

The Profs will be back in action on January 20 at the NYC Gotham Cup in Staten Island.
