Box Score UNION, NJ – Top-seeded Rowan was eliminated by TCNJ, 9-0, in the NJAC Baseball Tournament today at Kean University. The fourth-ranked Profs (30-8) will now await the NCAA Championship Selection which takes place on Monday, May 16.
After four scoreless innings, TCNJ (20-17) struck first in the bottom of the fifth, when Mike Lagravenis reached base on a fielder's choice, advanced on a Prof error and scored on a single by Jack Haynes. Then with two runners on, Ryan Goodall sent one over the centerfield fence for a three-run homer that gave the Lions a 4-0 lead.

Mike Shannon, putting TCNJ up 8-0. The Lions added another on a sacrifice fly from Michael Schumacher to up the lead to 9-0.
Jason O'Neill (7-2) was saddled with the loss for Rowan as he went 6.0 innings. TCNJ starter Ben Amon (4-4) held the Profs to just three hits in seven innings.
Tyler Cannon was the only Prof with multiple hits as he went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles as Rowan managed only five and stranded eight runners on the day.
Rowan lost its first game of the NJAC Tournament to Ramapo, 16-13, on Tuesday afternoon, with the double-elimination tournament resuming today after weather caused the postponement of the games on Friday and Saturday.
