Rowan Rankings Update: April 28, 2022

First Baseball and Softball NCAA Regional Rankings Released

GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan continues its presence in the national polls as we take a look at the latest information including the first batch of NCAA Regional rankings for baseball and softball.

The men's outdoor track & field team still sits at #1 in Division III in the US. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as the Profs added another national top 10 performance last weekend thanks to Ahmir Johnson who claimed the top mark in the triple jump at Morgan State (LINK).

The baseball team is ranked sixth in the Collegiate Baseball News (LINK) and seventh in the D3baseball/NCBWA Polls (LINK). Rowan is also among the six teams listed in Region IV in the first NCAA Regional rankings (LINK).

Softball is ranked #1 in Region IV in the NCAA Regional rankings (LINK). Additionally, the Profs stand at #21 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Poll, down five spots from the previous week (LINK).

The women's outdoor track & field team remains second in the USTFCCCA Metro Region Rankings (LINK).

Both the men's and women's outdoor track & field teams will travel to TCNJ this weekend for the Lions Outdoor Invitational beginning on Friday. Some members will also be competing at the prestigious Penn Relays next weekend as well.

The baseball team takes on Stockton in a home-and-home set. The Profs welcome the Ospreys on Thursday before heading to Stockton on Friday. On Saturday, the team closes out NJAC play with a DH against Kean.

Softball plays at Ramapo on Thursday in a makeup DH from Tuesday. The squad will also cap conference play on Saturday as they take on New Jersey City in a pair of contests.
