Raven Albrecht were highlighted in the weekly awards given out by the New Jersey Athletic Conference for the week ending November 9th.
Ford was named the NJAC Football Offensive Rookie of the Week with teammate Everett chosen as the NJAC Football Defensive Rookie of the Week. Both were big contributors to Rowan's 62-7 win over Vermont State-Castleton on Saturday.
Ford, who earns the award for the third time this season, ran six times for 55 yards including a 44-yard TD run and caught a 62-yard score. He has 379 rushing and 133 receiving yards with four total touchdowns through nine games. Everett scores his second weekly honor after running back a 50-yard interception return for his second defensive TD this year. On the season, Everett has four tackles in six games played.
Crouthamel picks up the NJAC Women's Swimming Swimmer of the Week for the first this this year. In Saturday's meet at West Chester, the junior produced a pair of first-place finishes, both in the 1650 free (17:59.09) and 400 IM (4:42.75) and kicked in a second place result in 400 medley relay 3:39.62 (54.69 split).
Albrecht was selected for her second NJAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week honor after helping lead the Profs to a 3-0 week. The freshman totaled 122 assists in three matches (11 sets) as the team hit .251 (156-56-382). Last Thursday she totaled 45 assists and added 10 digs at NJCUÂ for her seventh double double this year. In Saturday's second match of the Senior Day home tri-match vs. Susquehanna, Albrecht put up 32 assists with four aces and five digs.
Football (6-2-1, 4-2 NJAC) closes out the regular season this Saturday with a NJAC matchup at Kean.
Women's Swimming (2-2) returns to the pool at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational that kicks off on Friday, November 21st and runs through Sunday, November 23rd.
Volleyball (25-5) wiil take its seven-game win streak into the NJAC Tournament Semifinal this Thursday here at Esby Gymnasium at 7 p.m. for a berth into Saturday's final.
