Anthony Henriquez,
Jamir Rowe, and
Natalia Barrera were cited with weekly honors from the New Jersey Athletic Conference for the week ending November 16th.
Henriquez and Rowe helped key the Prof Football team to a 47-34 win at Kean in the regular-season finale.
Henriquez was named the NJAC Football Defensive Player of the Week as the senior had a game-high 12 tackles, adding 2.0 sacks, and interception, forced fumble, and 2.5 tackles for losses. His third quarter pick led to a Rowan score on the next offensive possession. He ranks third in the NJAC in total tackles (86) and tied for third in solo stops (40).
Rowe scored the NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week as the freshman ran back an 85-yard kickoff for a touchdown in Saturday's victory. On the season, Rowe is averaging 20.6 yards on six kick returns for 124 yards while adding 225 yards on 13 receptions and three scores.
Barrera earned the NJAC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week as the first-year player scored a game-high 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting, while adding 10 rebounds, two blocks, two steals and an assist in Rowan's 64-54 home opening win over Delaware Valley on Tuesday. In two contests this year, Barrera is averaging 8.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 63% from the floor.
The football team (7-2-1) has been selected to play in the ECAC Asa. S. Bushnell Bowl this Saturday at Utica.
Women's basketball (1-1) continues play on Wednesday at DeSales and at home on Saturday against Washington College.
