What was the biggest factor that led you to choose Rowan?
When I visited an open house for the College of Engineering at Rowan, I truly felt inspired and could see myself succeeding and making a difference with an education here. I hadn't felt that at any other school and it made Rowan a top choice for me. The opportunity to play field hockey for an amazing program with great teammates and coaches definitely sealed the deal.
What is your most memorable moment in sports, whether at Rowan or before?
My most memorable moment in sports was my first varsity start as a goalie in high school when I made 28 saves. I originally played volleyball in high school and switched to field hockey my junior year. From that game I just remember the rush of adrenaline I had and how well I played and it really clicked for me that I had finally found my sport. Shout out Becky Peterson :)
If you could play any other sport in college, what would it be and why?
I would do track and field. I threw javelin in high school so I would want to continue that.
Who was your biggest role model growing up?
My biggest role model was my sister Robyn. She is 10 years older than me, so I constantly looked up to her as a sister and second mom. She inspired me to be unconditionally myself and taught me to always be proud of who I am and what I can accomplish.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
Most definitely Banff National Park in Canada. I am a big outdoors person and the mountains and lakes there are absolutely stunning. I've been obsessed with wanting to go there since I first saw pictures of it a few years ago.
What's your choice – Netflix, YouTube, Cable TV? Favorite show?
Netflix for sure. Right now, my favorite is The Mandalorian on Disney+ though.
Who is your favorite professional athlete or team?
I'm a big Philly sports fan. I enjoy hockey the most so I would say the Flyers.
Who is your favorite follow on social media?
The Flyers mascot Gritty on Twitter. He cracks me up
Which do you prefer – online classes or in person?
In person. As an engineering major my classes are very science and math heavy, and it's more difficult to learn them online. Also, I'm a commuter and I miss being able to come to campus and see friends and classmates instead of being at home.
What is your major at Rowan and what are your career aspirations?
I am a Mechanical Engineering major and I aspire to work in aerospace when I graduate.
What's the best thing about being a Prof?
I love constantly being surrounded by people who are insanely supportive, yet just as competitive as I am.
