PHILADELPHIA - Rowan field hockey standout
Tess Herman has been named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Field Hockey Team for the second consecutive year. The team is consists of 13 top student-athletes as voted on by the athletics communications offices from 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
ACADEMIC ALL-AREA TEAM
A senior sports communications and media major, Herman earned NFHCA All-Region IV honors, while picking up her third selection to the All-Region First Team in 2025. She was chosen as the NJAC's Defensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row, becoming Rowan's first two-time recipient of the award.
Herman earned her third selection to the All-NJAC First Team in 2025 while anchoring the Profs' defense which held the opponents to just 1.77 goals per game as Rowan outscored them,74-39. She contributed offensively by registering a career-high 13 points, with three goals and a personal-best eight assists.
Herman, an All-America in 2024, was also named to the 2025 NFHCA Division III Senior Team and is a three-time Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction.
