GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's basketball team hosts The College of New Jersey in the semifinals of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.

The Profs (22-3) are the top seed in the conference postseason while the Lions (16-10) are seeded fourth. In the first round, TCNJ defeated the fifth seed William Paterson University, 67-59 in overtime. The sixth seed New Jersey City University upset the third seed Kean University, 59-58. NJCU (13-13) travels to the second seed Montclair State University (20-5) for the semifinals.
The semifinal winners meet in the final on Friday, Feb. 28 at the higher seed. The NJAC champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children, students and senior citizens. Athletic passes and IDs are not accepted for NJAC tournaments. Rowan athletics will provide free tickets for the first 100 students with ID.
During the regular season, Rowan won at The College of New Jersey, 68-57 and the Lions had a 70-59 victory in Glassboro. The Profs finished with a 16-2 record in the conference. Rowan has won the NJAC title six times with the last one in 1998-99.
Guard
Grace Marshall leads the team in scoring with 13.9 points per game (ppg). She is the top three-point shooter with 47. In the conference, the sophomore is first in three-pointers made (2.4), second in three-point field goal percentage (.356) and third in steals (2.7).
Guard
Nicole Mallard is contributing with 13.5 ppg and forward
Eliana Santana is chipping in with 11.0. Mallard is second in rebounding with 6.5 rebounds per game and Santana is third (6.0). In the NJAC, Mallard is first in steals (3.3) and third in assist/turnover ratio (3.6).
Guards
Savanna Holt and
Alexis Kriley are averaging 9.6 and 9.5 ppg. Kriley's .850 free throw percentage is first in the conference. Holt is fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.342) and sixth in field goal percentage (.422).
In the NJAC, center
Ayanna Johnson is first in rebounding (13.4) and blocks (3.6) and she is ranked second in Division III. Guard
Kennedy Brown is chipping in with 8.8 ppg. She has totaled 55 assists and 37 steals.
In the conference team stats, Rowan is ranked first in scoring offense (79.1), scoring margin (+15.5), rebound offense (53.8), blocks (6.2), free throw percentage (.683) and steals (14.5). The Profs are second in rebound margin (+9.1) and assists (14.3).
