BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rowan University men's track & field team competed at the Moravian College Indoor Invitational at Lehigh University on Saturday.
Tyler Garland (so. Glassboro, NJ/Deptford Twp.) claimed first in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.35, while
Marcello Pinnero (fr. Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) took sixth (8.69).
Earnest Daniel (so. Woolwich, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) was first in the high jump, clearing 6' 6" (1.98 m). Daniel also earned third in the triple jump with a distance of 43' 11.75" (13.40 m).
John Owens (fr. Newnan, GA/West Windsor-Plainsboro N. (NJ)) had a first place finish in the long jump, leaping 22' 10.50" (6.97 m).
Frankie Richard (so. Allendale, NJ/Northern Highland Reg.) was seventh (21' 5.25", 6.53 m) and
Magnum Phelps (so. Newark, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep) tabbed eighth (21' 2.75", 6.47 m).
Justin Bishop (so. Somers Point, NJ/Mainland Reg.),
Vincent Delle (so. Williamstown, NJ/Old Bridge) and
Chris Mesiano (sr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) placed second (51.56), third (51.57) and fourth (51.81) respectively in the 400 meters.
The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Bishop, Delle, Mesiano and Garland finished second in 3:24.97.
Shai Mumford (sr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) was third (22.66) in the 200 meters and Garland claimed fifth (23.12).
Julian Pratt (jr. Camden, NJ/Camden) finished fifth overall in the 60 meters dash in 7.12.
The distance medley relay team of
Esteban Delgado (fr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami),
Peter Argerakis (fr. Holtsville, NY/Sachem E.),
Josh Munoz (fr. Closter, NJ/Northern Valley Reg. at Demarest) and
Jason Muermann (so. Pitman, NJ/Pitman) finished third overall in 11:05.50. Munoz also earned 10th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:01.90.
Nick Simila (fr. Wenonah, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) took seventh in the 3000 meters in 9:10.42 and Muermann was eighth (9:10.45).
Brandon Eagle (sr. East Meadow, NJ/East Meadow) came in eighth in the 5000 meter run in a time of 16:09.91 and
Connor McBride (fr. Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Reg.) was 10th (16:18.94).
Bobby Blanchard (fr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) tied for ninth in the pole vault, clearing 13' 5.25" (4.10 m).
The men's track & field team travels to the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 10:00 a.m.
