Box Score UNION, NJ – The Rowan University baseball team advanced to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship game after a 13-8 win over Kean University on Sunday.
Rowan (32-9) plays Ramapo College (32-12) at 4:35 p.m. on Sunday for the conference title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The Profs and the Roadrunners have met twice already in the conference postseason. On Friday, Rowan edged Ramapo, 3-2 while the Roadrunners had a 7-2 victory on Saturday night.
Right-hander
Andrew Cartier (jr. Estell Manor, NJ/Buena Reg.) was the winning pitcher. He (4-1) went six innings and allowed five runs, two earned. Righty Justin Diefenbach (fr. Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) had the loss (2-5).
