Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ - The 21
st-ranked Rowan University women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never looked back on the way to a 15-9 win over Montclair State University in the semifinals of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Tournament.

The second-seeded Profs (14-2) move on to the conference championship at the top seed The College of New Jersey (16-2) on Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. The Lions defeated the fourth seed Kean University, 13-2 in the other NJAC semifinal. The Red Hawks are 9-7 overall and they were the third seed.

Maddie Bray (jr. Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) led the way with four goals. She also controlled four draws. Attack

Liz Kramer (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) netted three goals while defender/midfielder
Taylor Gretz (jr. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) and attack
Ashley Lechliter (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) each hit the net twice. Kramer caused three turnovers and Gretz added five draw controls.

Nicole Mickendrow (sr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) scored one time and picked up four ground balls. Attacks
Mikala Gillespie (jr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) and
Alex DeGaris (jr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) notched one assist apiece. Goalie
Erin Horner (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) stopped five shots and also had an assist.

Attack Chelsea Orban (sr. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris) recorded four goals for Montclair State. Attack Rhiannon Brown (fr. Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) registered two goals while midfielders Jessica Andreula (jr. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) and Erin Campbell (jr. Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock) each found the back of the net one time. Attack Kyle Graver (so. Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) contributed with one goal and one assist.

Midfielder Michaelah Reynolds (fr. Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) and defender Emerline Tabares (jr. Landing, NJ/Roxbury) chipped in with one assist apiece. Midfielder Brittany Costigan (fr. Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) produced six draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Goalkeepers Allyn Lilien (fr. Washington Twp., NJ/Westwood) and Amanda Maguire (so. Verona, NJ/Verona) made 11 and five saves respectively.

Six different players scored for Rowan as it built a 6-0 lead with 11:09 left in the first half. Brown (10:22) and Kramer (8:10) traded goals and the score was 7-1. The Red Hawks tallied the last three goals of the period to trail 7-4 at the break.

Bray (28:03) and Kramer (25:46) beat the goalkeeper in the second half and the Profs had a 9-4 advantage. Orban hit the cage at 25:35 to cut the deficit to four (9-5) before Rowan received markers from Bray (24:50), Doyle (23:30) and Lechliter (22:32). Montclair State closed the gap to five (12-7) with 15:58 to go after tallies by Orban and Campbell. With the Profs ahead 13-8, Bray and Gretz increased the margin to seven (15-8) with 7:47 remaining. Andreula had the final goal of the contest at 6:08. Rowan allowed just two shots in the closing minutes.
