Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University baseball team recorded 19 hits in a 14-0 shutout over New Jersey City University on Thursday.
Right-hander
Danny Serreino (jr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) only allowed two hits in six innings for the win. He (5-2) struck out seven batters. Righty
Jeremy Dyzenhaus (so. Morganville, NJ/Marlboro) threw two innings and right-hander
Sam Nocito (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) was on the mound for one inning. They both just gave up one hit.
The Profs are 27-7 overall and 10-5 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Gothic Knights have an 18-16 record with a 5-10 conference mark.
Center fielder
Kyle Golla (sr. Palm Coast, FL/Allentown (NJ)) led the way with four hits (four at bats), four RBIs, a double and two runs. Shortstop
Dillon Mendel (jr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) contributed with four hits (four at bats), two RBIs and three runs. Left fielder
Monny Strickland (sr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) totaled three hits in four at bats, two RBIs, a double and two runs.

Nick Schooley (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) chipped in with two hits, one RBI and one run. First baseman

Rowan got on the scoreboard with a RBI single by Strickland in the second inning. The Profs produced eight runs in the third and three in the fourth for a 12-0 lead. In the third, Golla came home on an error and Shane scored on a ground out. Strickland drove in Schooley with a double to right field. Hewa walked with the bases loaded. Golla collected three RBIs with a double to center field and Schooley had a RBI single.
Mendel's base hit in the fourth scored Harrold. Golla drove in Mendel with a single to center field. Strickland came home on a sac fly by Shane. Rowan's last two runs came in the seventh inning. Mendel and Provost each had a RBI single.
Rowan travels to New Jersey City University on Friday, April 27 for a 3:30 p.m. game.
