Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ - The 21^st-ranked Rowan University women's lacrosse team erased an early deficit and defeated visiting Montclair State University, 14-10 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Saturday.
 
The Profs improve to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in the conference. The Red Hawks have a 7-6 record with a 2-2 NJAC mark.
 
Attack Ashley Lechliter (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) led Rowan with five goals. Defender/midfielder Taylor Gretz (jr. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) produced three goals and two assists. Defender/midfielder Liz Kramer (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and midfielder Abby Daigle (fr. Millville, NJ/Millville) each tallied two goals and Kramer added two assists, five draw controls and four caused turnovers.
 
Attack Maddie Bray (jr. Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) and midfielder Nicole Mickendrow (sr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) scored one goal apiece while attack Kim Doyle (sr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) notched an assist. Mickendrow picked up seven ground balls and defender Haley Symons (jr. Harrington Park, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) contributed with five draw controls. Goalkeeper Erin Horner (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) stopped eight shots.
 
For Montclair State, attack Rhiannon Brown (fr. Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) recorded three goals and one assist. Midfielder Jessica Andreula (jr. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) registered one goal and two assists while attack Kyle Graver (so. Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) totaled one goal and one helper.
 
Midfielder Brittany Costigan (fr. Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) netted two goals while midfielders Sydnee Sapp (so. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) and Michaelah Reynolds (fr. Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) and attack Chelsea Orban (sr. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris) each hit the net one time. Costigan controlled seven draws and defender Dana Susse (jr. Franklin Square, NJ/H. Frank Carey) chipped in with four ground balls and four caused turnovers. Goalies Allyn Lilien (fr. Washington Twp., NJ/Westwood) and Amanda Maguire (so. Verona, NJ/Verona) played one half apiece and made seven and five saves respectively.
 
The Red Hawks posted four of the contest's first five goals to lead 4-1 with 15:36 on the clock. The Profs recovered to score five straight tallies and go ahead 6-4 at the intermission. Lechliter potted three of the goals, including two in the final minute. Brown (29:15) and Orban (25:03) hit the cage to start the second period and the score was tied at six.
 
Rowan went ahead 10-6 (19:28) after a pair of goals from Daigle and one apiece by Gretz and Mickendrow. Montclair State rallied for four in a row to even the score at 10 with 6:49 remaining. Lechliter gave the Profs the lead for good with 4:37 to go. Kramer assisted on the marker. Kramer (3:38, 0:29) and Lechliter (2:04) provided insurance goals in the closing minutes.
 
Next, the women's lacrosse team hosts Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, April 24 at 7 p.m.
