st-ranked Rowan University women's lacrosse team could not solve The College of New Jersey's top-ranked defense in a 16-3 defeat to the host Lions in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Tuesday.

The setback ended the Profs' nine-game win streak, their longest since 2008. Rowan is 10-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference. TCNJ improves to 11-2 and it is in first place in the NJAC with a 4-0 mark. The Lions are ranked third in the nation.

TCNJ midfielder Allie Gorman (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Washington Twp.) tallied six goals and one assist. Midfielder Kathleen Jaeger (jr. Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) recorded three goals and one assist. Midfielders Alexandria Fitzpatrick (so. Burlington, NJ/Northern Burlington) and Amanda Muller (sr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) and defender Jessica Allen (so. Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) each notched two goals. Muller added an assist.

Defender Elizabeth Morrison (sr. Stonington, CT/Stonington) hit the back of the net one time and attack Olivia Cleale (so. Yardley, PA/Notre Dame (NJ)) chipped in with three assists. Morrison posted six ground balls, six caused turnovers and six draw controls. Goalkeeper Miranda Chrone (jr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) made nine saves.
