rd-ranked Rowan University women's lacrosse team never trailed and led by as many as 13 goals in a 23-11 victory over #19 Stevens Institute of Technology on Thursday night.

The Profs are 9-1 overall and have won eight consecutive games. Rowan ended the Ducks' five-game win streak. Stevens has an 8-3 record. The Profs had the advantage in shots (40-17), ground balls (16-12), draw controls (22-14) and clears (12-10). Rowan also had just 15 turnovers compared to the Ducks' 20.

Defender/midfielder
Liz Kramer (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) led the way with six goals, one assist, five draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Midfielder
Nicole Mickendrow (sr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) tallied four goals and two assists. Attacks
Kim Doyle (sr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) and
Maddie Bray (jr. Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) netted four and three goals respectively with each adding an assist. Defender/midfielder
Taylor Gretz (jr. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) and midfielder
Abby Daigle (fr. Millville, NJ/Millville) hit the net two times apiece. Gretz also had eight draw controls.

Attacks
Alex DeGaris (jr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) and
Mikala Gillespie (jr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) each scored one time. Attacks
Dara Hennessy (fr. Marmora, NJ/Ocean City) and
Reese Parr (jr. Freehold, NJ/Howell) and DeGaris had one assist apiece. Goalies
Erin Horner (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) and
Emma Frost (jr. Washington, NJ/Warren Hills Reg.) each made one save in 52:38 and 7:22 respectively.

Stevens attack Kyra Bednarski (so. Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) totaled five goals. Attacks Cami Santor (sr. Glastonbury, CT/Glastonbury) and Brianne Salera (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.) produced two goals apiece. Midfielder Julianna Ricci (sr. Millersville, MD/Severna Park) contributed with two assists. Midfielders Hannah Condren (so. Walkersville, MD/Walkersville) and Emily Shanklin (so. Berkley, MI/Marian) each registered one goal. Shanklin controlled eight draws. Goalkeepers Stephanie Schnelzer (sr. Carmel, IN/Carmel) and Peyton Taylor (fr. Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg) turned away two and three shots in 35:05 and 24:55 respectively.

The Profs opened the contest with three straight goals from Kramer (29:12), Bray (25:48) and Daigle (22:05). Bednarski got the Ducks on the board at 20:54. Mickendrow found the back of the net at 16:02 to make the score 6-2. Shanklin responded at 14:25 to close to within three (6-3). Rowan followed with seven of the next eight markers to increase the lead to nine (13-4) with 4:13 left. Six different players contributed to the run with Doyle scoring twice. Bednarski (3:02) and Santor (0:12) had the final two goals of the period and the Profs were ahead 13-6 at the break.

The teams traded the first four goals of the second before Salera cut the deficit to 15-9 with 26:06 on the clock. Rowan pulled away with seven tallies in a row to go up by 13 (22-9) at the 14:46 mark. Kramer posted three goals, Mickendrow scored twice and Gretz and Doyle each chipped in with one. Bednarski (13:06), Bray (12:00) and Condren (8:30) rounded out the scoring.
