rd-ranked Rowan University women's lacrosse team defeated Washington College (MD), 17-14 in a non-conference game on Wednesday night.
It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Profs (5-1). The Shorewomen have a 6-2 record. Rowan attacks

Kim Doyle (sr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) tallied four goals apiece. Defender/midfielder
Taylor Gretz (jr. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) and attack
Alex DeGaris (jr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) each totaled two goals and one assist.

Liz Kramer (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) scored three times and midfielder
Nicole Mickendrow (sr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) netted two goals. Mickendrow also picked up five ground balls. Bray controlled nine draws and Kramer had seven. Attack
Mikala Gillespie (jr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) notched one assist.
Goalkeeper
Erin Horner (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) stopped 13 shots for the win (5-1). Goalies Isabella Richardson (jr. Potomac, MD/Stone Ridge School) and Victoria Shanerman (so. East Northport, NY/John H. Glenn) made five and three saves respectively for Washington.
Attack Cecily Docktor (jr. Wellesley, MA/Wellesley) led the Shorewomen with four goals and two assists. Attack Kristy Grovom (jr. San Diego, CA/Mission Hills) recorded four goals and one assist. Midfielder Madison Acra (sr. Norfolk, VA/Norfolk Academy) scored three goals and midfielder Emily Pantazes (jr. Middletown, DE/Middletown) added one. Attack Lauren Brenner (so. Glen Mills, PA/Episcopal Academy) and midfielder Aubrey Robinson (so. Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) produced one goal and one assist apiece. Attack Alison Pantazes (jr. Middletown, DE/Middletown) chipped in with two assists.
Bray had the first goal of the contest at 29:45. Grovom (25:04) and Robinson (23:58) put Washington ahead 2-1. Rowan followed with six straight goals to lead 7-2 (20:23). Five different players scored in the stretch. The Shorewomen had three of the next four markers to close the gap to 8-5 (13:14). The teams traded goals until it was 11-8 with 6:18 on the clock. DeGaris hit the back of the net with the Profs shorthanded (1:13) and Rowan had a 12-8 advantage at the break.
The Profs increased their cushion to 16-9 (23:57) with four of the first five goals in the second stanza. Washington netted three in a row to cut the deficit to four (16-12) with 16:43 to go. Doyle scored on a man-advantage (13:58) for Rowan's final tally. Emily Pantazes (5:10) and Docktor (3:38) got the Shorewomen within three but the Profs were able to run out the clock.
The women's lacrosse team travels to the University of Scranton on Tuesday, April 3 at 7 p.m.
