Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Kean University field hockey team came back for a 3-2 overtime win at Rowan University in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars are undefeated with an 11-0 record and the Profs are 6-4 overall. This week, Kean is ranked 16
th in the nation.
Back Kayla Molnar (jr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) scored the winning goal when she knocked in a pass from midfielder/back Shauna LaMaina (sr. Oaklyn, NJ/Collingswood) at 95:20. The Cougars trailed 2-0 going into the second half.
LaMaina scored the Cougars' first tally (66:02) on a penalty stroke. Forward Krista LaMaina (sr. Oaklyn, NJ/Collingswood) produced the tying goal with 21 seconds left in the second stanza.

Rachel Galante (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) had both of the Profs' goals. She took a loose ball in on a breakaway at 3:22. Her second score came at 32:35 after two quick passes from midfielders

Carly DeMarco (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) stopped 12 shots. Cougar goalie Megan Houser (fr. Reading, PA/Muhlenberg) got the win with two saves in 60:20. Goalie Bailee Mullen (so. Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp.) played the first half and had one save.
