Box Score FLORHAM, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team shut out FDU-Florham, 2-0 on Monday night.
 
Forward Bridget Boyle (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) started the scoring at 17:15.  She flicked the ball into the top corner with a pass from midfielder Casey Wagner (so. Erial, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.).  Forward Rachel Galante (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) hit the cage (22:09) with a shot after a penalty corner by back Dayna DeVincentz (fr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central).  It was the third goal of the season for Boyle and Galante.
 
The Profs improve to 4-3 overall while the Devils have a 5-2 record.  Goalie Carly DeMarco (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) made five saves for her first shutout of the season.  For FDU-Florham, goalie Samantha Rubin (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) stopped seven shots.
 
Next, Rowan hosts Stevenson University on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.
