Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team scored three unanswered goals for a 3-1 victory over visiting Haverford College on Saturday.
The Profs even their record at 3-3 while the Fords suffered their first loss and have a 5-1 mark.
Rowan outshot Haverford, 20-10, including 14-2 in the first half. However, the Fords recorded the first goal at 14:42 when forward Lucy Tortolani (so. Barrington, RI/The Moses Brown School) finished a cross from forward/midfielder Ariana Sulpizio (fr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown).

Marissa Ciocco (jr. Clarksboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) eluded a defender on a penalty corner and beat the goalkeeper with 8:43 left before halftime. Forward
Myranda Christy (jr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) had the second marker when she picked up a loose ball in the circle, turned and fired into the cage.
Midfielder/forward
Julie Johnson (jr. Mount Ephraim, NJ/Audubon) added an insurance goal with 24:42 to go in the final period. She dribbled the ball down the right side of the field and shot into the left corner.
Goalkeeper
Carly DeMarco (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) made six saves while Haverford goalie Danielle Rette (sr. New Egypt, NJ/Peddie) stopped 12 shots.
