Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team dropped an 11-1 decision to top-ranked The College of New Jersey in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Tuesday night.
 
The Profs are 8-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference. The Lions have a 10-1 record with a 3-0 NJAC mark.
 
Midfielder Alex Fitzpatrick (fr. Burlington, NJ/Northern Burlington County Reg.) tallied three goals for TCNJ. Midfielders Kathleen Jaeger (so. Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) and Allie Gorman (fr. Sicklerville, NJ/Washington Twp.) and attack Mia Blackman (sr. Arlington, VA/Field School) each recorded two goals. Blackman also picked up five ground balls. Midfielders Erin Harvey (so. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) and Amanda Muller (jr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) both scored one time. Goalkeeper Miranda Chrone (so. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) stopped five shots.
 
Defender/midfielder Taylor Gretz (so. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) hit the back of the net for Rowan. She also controlled six draws and the Profs won the draw control battle, 9-5. Defender/midfielder Liz Kramer (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) totaled a game-high seven ground balls. Defender Giselle Cortes (sr. Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) and Kramer caused three turnovers apiece. Goalie Erin Horner (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) made some impressive stops between the pipes and finished with 11 saves.
 
The Lions did the majority of their damage in the first half, holding a 9-0 lead at intermission. Rowan held TCNJ to just two markers in the second stanza.
