Box Score SALISBURY, MD – The Rowan University baseball team had a 6-2 defeat at Salisbury University on Tuesday.
The Profs have an 11-6 record while the Sea Gulls are 14-6 overall.
Right-hander Connor Reeves (jr. Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) picked up the win in relief. He (2-1) hurled seven scoreless innings and allowed just four hits while fanning seven batters. Righty Andrew Kramer (jr. Levittown, NY/Island Trees) earned his second save. Right-handed pitcher
Andrew Cohen (sr. Monroe Twp., NJ/Monroe Twp.) was tagged with the loss (1-2).
Salisbury left fielder Kevin Dean (sr. South Riding, NJ/Freedom), first baseman Pete Grasso (sr. Wilmington, DE/A.I. DuPont) and third baseman Jack Barry (so. Laurel, MD/Reservoir) each had two hits. Right fielder Colby Dean (jr. Dagsboro, DE/Indian River), Kevin Dean and Barry each hit a double. Grasso drove in two runs and Barry totaled one RBI. Catcher Tom LaBriola (sr. Huntingtown, MD/Huntingtown) crossed the plate twice.

Jason Clapper (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) went two-for-three and scored a run. Center fielder
Shane Brown (sr. Annandale, NJ/North Hunterdon) had one run scored.
The Profs scored their two runs in the opening inning. Brown and Clapper both walked to start the contest. Third baseman
Matt Jolly (sr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Brown then scored on a balk and Clapper came home on a wild pitch.
In the bottom of the second, LaBriola led off with a single. Barry walked and the runners advanced on a groundout. LaBriola and Barry later scored on a pair of balks to tie the game. Center fielder Justin Meekins (fr. Berlin, MD/Stephen Decatur) began the third with a base hit. He advanced to second on a groundout then touched the plate on Grasso's single down the left field line.
Kevin Dean doubled in the fifth and went to third on a wild pitch. LaBriola walked. Kevin Dean came home on a balk and Barry doubled in LaBriola for a 5-2 Sea Gulls advantage. The final run came in the eighth when Grasso singled to center to plate second baseman Ron Villone (so. Rivervale, NJ/Pascack Valley).
