Box Score CLERMONT, FL – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team opened its two-game trip to Florida with a 13-8 win over Western New England University on Tuesday.
The Profs even their record at 2-2 while the Golden Bears drop to 2-3.

Megan Donnelly (sr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) each hit the back of the net one time. Goalkeeper
Erin Horner (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) made three saves.
Attack/midfielder Rachel Channing (jr. Lincoln Park, NJ/Morris Catholic) scored four goals for Western New England. Midfielder Emma Norden (gr. Belchertown, MA/Belchertown), attack Julia Winer (jr. Longmeadow, MA/Wilbraham & Monson Academy) and midfielders Lauren Hurley (jr. Saint James, NY/St. Anthony's) and Kaitlyn Hutter (fr. Stamford, CT/Stamford) produced one goal apiece. Midfielder Lindsey Phillips (fr. East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) had one assist and goalie Shannon McFadden (jr. West Islip, NY/West Islip) stopped 16 shots.
Gretz (24:55) and Channing (23:09) had the first two markers of the contest. The Profs scored four straight to take a 5-1 lead with 15:56 to go in the half. Herbert scored twice and Kramer and Doyle also hit the cage. Canning produced two tallies at 12:17 and 9:46 respectively to make the score 5-3. Bray's goal (7:28) increased the margin to three (6-3). Winer, Hurley and Canning scored for the Golden Bears to tie the score at six (3:10). Gretz's goal (1:12) gave Rowan a 7-6 advantage at the break. The Profs opened the second period with four tallies in a row to take an 11-6 lead with 15:35 left. The teams traded goals twice to close the game.
Rowan ends its trip against Denison University on Friday, March 17 at 9 a.m.
