Dayna DeVincentz scored the winning goal with 4:11 remaining to give the Rowan University field hockey team a 2-1 win over visiting Stockton University on Saturday afternoon.

Julie Johnson (jr. Mount Ephraim, NJ/Audubon) had the ball at the top of the circle. She spun around a defender and sent the ball towards the front of the cage. DeVincentz (fr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) was on the doorstep at the left side to deposit it past the goalkeeper.
It was the regular season finale for the Profs (13-5). They honored their seniors before the game: back/midfielder

Megan Hilbert (sr. Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) and goalkeeper
Carly DeMarco (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City).
Rowan finishes the NJAC slate with a 4-2 record and will be the third seed in the conference tournament. The Profs will travel to either Kean University or The College of New Jersey in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The Ospreys end the season at 10-8 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC.
Johnson began the scoring at 46:13 with an assist from forward
Rachel Galante (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood). Galante sent the ball in from the top left of the circle and Johnson got a stick on it to deflect it into the goal. Stockton found the equalizer just under three minutes later. Back Alexa Massa's (sr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) shot from top right ricocheted off a Rowan defender and into the back of the cage.
The Profs did not allow a shot by the Ospreys in the first half and closed the contest with a 20-7 advantage. DeMarco made four saves and Stockton goalie Emily Sorochynskyj (sr. Boonton, NJ/Boonton) stopped eight shots. Rowan back
