Box Score ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – The Rowan University field hockey team defeated Elizabethtown College, 3-1 on Wednesday.
 
Forward Bridget Boyle (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) started the scoring at 9:40.  She knocked in a loose ball after forward Myranda Christy's (jr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) shot was blocked.  Forward Rachel Galante (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) followed with her first goal (20:21) and she produced a second one less than nine minutes later.  Galante had a shot that deflected off a Blue Jay stick and over the goalie into the cage. 
 
Back Dayna DeVincentz (fr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.) passed to Galante who hit the lower left side for her 12^th goal on the season.  Forward Charity Good (gr. Muncy, PA/Muncy) spoiled the shutout at 40:59.  She scored on a penalty corner with an assist from midfielder/forward Megan Eppley (sr. Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley).
 
The Profs improve to 10-5 overall while the Blue Jays have a 7-8 record.  Goalie Carly DeMarco (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) stopped 11 shots for the victory.  Elizabethtown goalie Margo Donlin (jr. Wilmington, DE/Concord) made two saves. 
 
Rowan has another road game on Saturday, Oct. 21 at conference opponent William Paterson University at 1 p.m.
