Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team shut out Moravian College, 2-0 on Wednesday night.
The Profs are undefeated with a 6-0 record while the Greyhounds have a 2-2-1 mark. This week, Rowan is ranked fourth in the South Atlantic Regional and 23
rd in the national poll.
Forward
Shannon Reardigan (jr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro) scored the first goal at 41:21. Midfielder
Darah Wagner (so. Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) sent the ball from the middle of the field to midfielder
Michelle Carpino (jr. Brick, NJ/Brick Twp.) who was charging down the right side. Carpino then crossed the ball to Reardigan who hit the left side of the net. It was Reardigan's sixth goal on the season.
Midfielder
Lisa Cella (sr. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.) knocked in a short cross (47:06) from Reardigan in front of the Greyhounds' goal for the second score. Cella has contributed with seven points, three goals and one assist.
Goalkeeper
Shelby Money (so. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) stopped three shots and registered her third shutout. For Moravian, goalie Jessica Lawton (jr. Winfield, PA/Selingsgrove) made nine saves.
Rowan is home again on Saturday, Sept. 17 versus Virginia Wesleyan College at 5 p.m.
