Women's Lacrosse Defeats Rutgers-Camden, 16-6

Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team defeated Rutgers-Camden, 16-6 on Wednesday night in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) action.
 
The Profs are 10-5 overall and 4-1 in the NJAC. The Scarlet Raptors are 7-7 on the season with a 1-4 conference mark. The victory earns Rowan the second seed and a home game in next week's NJAC Championship Tournament.
 
Profs' goalie Erin Horner (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) made four saves in 50:06 of action. Goalie Emma Frost (fr. Stewartsville, NJ/Warren Hills Reg.) played the final 9:54. Rutgers-Camden goalie Alexa Rocks (jr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) stopped six shots.
 
Midfielder Ali Herbert (jr. Little Egg Harbor, NJ/Pinelands Reg.) accumulated five goals, one assist and two draw controls. Attack Rachel Hofbauer (jr. Totowa, NJ/Wayne Valley) scored three goals and had one assist. Attack Jess Havers (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) tallied two goals and two assists. Attacks Megan Donnelly (jr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and Alex DeGaris (so. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) each tallied two goals.
 
Attacks Maddie Bray (fr. Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) and Haley Symons (fr. Harrington Park, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) recorded one goal apiece. Midfielder Brittany Bollendorf (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) collected five draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Midfielder Taylor Gretz (fr. Woolwich Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) chipped in with three ground balls, two caused turnovers and one draw control.
 
For Rutgers-Camden, midfielder Cecilla Gross (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) scored twice and had three draw controls and one caused turnover. Midfielders Nicole Martin (so. Delran, NJ/Delran), Breanna Heifet (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.), Krystal Valianti (sr. Oaklyn, NJ/Collingswood) and defender Sarah Boucot (jr. Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) each hit the back of the net once. Heifet also had five draw controls.
 
Rowan concludes its regular season on Saturday, April 30 at home against Ramapo College at noon.
