Women's Lacrosse Loses At Washington College (MD), 10-6

Box Score CHESTERTOWN, MD – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team had its four-game winning streak snapped after a 10-6 loss at Washington College (MD) on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Shorewomen and the Profs are both 5-3 overall on the season. Washington goalie Madeline Mullen (jr. Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven Reg.) stopped eight shots. Rowan goalie Erin Horner (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) made eight saves.
 
Attack Katherine Vincent (jr. Wilton, CT/Wilton) tallied four goals. Attack Alli Dudley (jr. New Windsor, MD/Francis Scott Key) collected two goals and one assist. Attack Carley Kendall (sr. Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) scored twice. Midfielders Rachael Shaw (so. Bechtelsville, PA/Boyertown) and Cara Pascarella (jr. Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollows Hills E.) each had one goal. Attack Virginia Parker (fr. Annapolis, MD/Archbishop Spalding) contributed with two assists and defender Anna Inserra (jr. Dix Hills, NJ/Half Hollow Hills W.) chipped in with one helper.
 
For Rowan, attack Rachel Hofbauer (jr. Totowa, NJ/Wayne Valley) scored three goals. Attacks Maddie Bray (fr. Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee), Megan Donnelly (jr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and Rachel Emerson (sr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) had one goal apiece. Midfielder Ali Herbert (jr. Little Egg Harbor, NJ/Pinelands Reg.) added one assist.
 
Vincent put Washington in front 2-0 (9:27) after scoring two goals. Rowan responded with three straight tallies, two by Hofbauer (10:19 and 14:07) and one by Emerson (11:49) for a 3-2 lead. The Shorewomen scored the next four for a 6-3 advantage with 3:25 on the clock. Hofbauer trimmed the deficit to 6-4 with eight-seconds remaining in the first half.
 
Vincent extended the Washington cushion to 7-4 with 27:18 to play in the second stanza. Donnelly cut the lead to 7-5 (53:42) then Dudley (57:21) and Pascarella (58:04) scored to extend the Shorewomen's advantage to 9-5. The teams traded goals in the last minute, making the final 10-6.
 
Rowan hosts Cabrini College on Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m.
