MAHWAH, NJ – The Rowan University women's swim team won 160-92 at conference opponent Ramapo College on Saturday.
The Profs are 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Rowan was first in the 400 medley (4:07.61) and 200 freestyle (1:43.71) relays.
Alex Bambrick (fr. Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell),
Bailey Howarth (fr. Egg Harbor Twp. NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.),
Gabby Gligor (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) and
Miranda Coughlan (so. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) were on the medley relay. The free relay included Coughlan, Bambrick,
Megan Miller (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) and
Julie Sheehan (sr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.).
Carlee Timmins (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) took first in the 1000 (11:09.50) and 500 (5:29.09) freestyles. Howarth finished first in the 100 (1:10.71) and 200 (2:32.46) breaststrokes.
Nikki Broome (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) touched first (2:22.80) in the 200 butterfly. Bambrick was the winner (2:13.95) in the 200 backstroke.
Gligor claimed first (1:01.57) in the 100 butterfly and was second (2:25.35) in the 200 butterfly. Coughlan won (54.57) the 100 freestyle and had a second place finish (24.98) in the 50 free.
Emily LaBenski (fr. Wenonah, NJ/Deptford Twp.) captured first (2:21.08) in the 200 individual medley. She also took second in the 100 (1:10.94) and 200 (2:36.71) breaststrokes.
Sheehan came in second (2:03.33) in the 200 free, third in the 100 (56.48) and fourth (26.54) in the 50.
Daria Mnich (fr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) had a second place (1:05.92) in the 100 backstroke. In the 1000 freestyle,
Claire McKissick (fr. Ellicott City, MD/Archbishop Spalding) finished second (11:36.86) followed by
Isabelle Landon (fr. Annandale, VA/Falls Church), third (11:49.43).
Amanda Burke (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.) was third in the 100 (1:06.14) and 200 (2:21.24) backstrokes.
Gabrielle Moskalow (fr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) took third (2:35.35) in the 200 butterfly.
