Box Score GLENSIDE, PA – The Rowan University field hockey team defeated Arcadia University, 4-0 on Wednesday night.
All of the scoring came in the second half. Midfielder
Johanna James (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) had the first goal at 41:38. She knocked the ball in during a scramble after a pass from forward/midfielder
Erica Faraone (jr. Cranford, NJ/Cranford). Three minutes later, back
Marisa Marini (sr. Carneys Point, NJ/Padua Academy (DE)) tipped in the second tally and forward
Rachel Galante (fr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) registered the assist.
At 66:47, forward
Jenna Pressler (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) hit the cage with an assist from Marini. Galante ended the scoring with 2:33 remaining and Pressler had the assist.
The Profs have a 5-4 record and the Knights are 4-6 overall. Goalie
Carly DeMarco (so. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) turned away three shots and posted her third shutout. For Arcadia, goalie Brittany Hodson (jr. Hughesville, MD/North Point) made nine saves.
Next week, Rowan hosts conference opponent Stockton University on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.
