Women's Lacrosse Defeats Stockton, 10-4

Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team won its New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) contest, 10-4 over Stockton University on Tuesday night.
 
Rowan has an overall record of 5-6 and they are 2-2 in the NJAC. Stockton is 8-5 with a 1-3 conference mark. Rowan goalie Erin Horner (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) made four saves. Stockton goalie Mary Stornes (jr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) stopped 15 shots.
 
Attack Becca Wood (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) scored five goals, had one assist and caused four turnovers. She now has 77 career caused turnovers, which is a program record. Shannon O'Brien (2010-13) held the previous mark of 76. Midfielder Brittany Bollendorf (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) produced three goals and controlled four draws. Midfielder Kelly O'Brien (so. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) and attack Vicky Sucharski (sr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) each added one goal. O'Brien also registered one assist. Midfielder McKayla Earley (fr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) recorded one assist.
 
For Stockton, attack Zoey Kramer (sr. Eatontown, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) tallied one goal and two assists. Midfielders Lauren Ivancich (jr. Beach Haven, NJ/Southern Reg.) and Kim Raichelson (so. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.) along with attack Brianna Rolke (fr. Berlin, NJ/Eastern Reg.) chipped in with one goal apiece.
 
Wood (3:21) and Bollendorf (4:18) gave Rowan a 2-0 lead. Rolke cut the deficit in half at the 8:18 mark. Bollendorf made it 3-1 with 17:14 on the clock. Kramer drew the Ospreys to within one (3-2) with 5:32 remaining. Sucharski (27:57) and Wood (28:19) each hit the back of the net to give the Profs a 5-2 lead at the break.
 
The second half started with an O'Brien goal (32:34). Raichelson responded with a tally (33:09), but Rowan scored three consecutive goals for a 9-3 advantage with 22:37 left. Wood scored twice (33:35 and 37:23) and Bollendorf once (37:00). Ivancich registered a goal with 15:09 remaining and Wood produced the final goal of the game at the 53:52 mark.
 
Rowan travels to Ramapo College on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m.
