Box Score HOBOKEN, NJ – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team defeated Rowan University, 13-9 on Wednesday night.
The Ducks have an overall mark of 7-1 and the Profs drop to 3-4 on the season. Stevens goalie Catie Shelton (jr. Central Square, NY/Paul V. Moore) made 10 saves. Rowan goalie
Erin Horner (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) stopped seven shots.
For Stevens, attack/midfielder Erika Wilcox (jr. Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) scored five goals and assisted on one. Attacks Caitlyn Hughes (sr. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) and Cami Santor (fr. Glastonbury, CT/Glastonbury) along with midfielder Julianna Ricci (fr. Millersville, MD/Severna Park) each recorded two goals. Hughes and Santor also had two assists apiece. Midfielder Caroline DeLuca (so. Sayville, NY/Sayville) registered one goal and one assist, while attack Laura Roberts (so. West Hartford, CT/Conard) chipped in with one goal.

Becca Wood (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) led the Profs with three goals. Attack
Rachel Emerson (jr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) produced two goals. Attacks
Rachel Hofbauer (so. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) and
Vicky Sucharski (sr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) and midfielders
Brittany Bollendorf (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and
Ali Herbert (so. Little Egg Harbor, NJ/Pinelands Reg.) added one goal apiece.
Stevens jumped out to a 4-0 lead as Wilcox (1:38), Ricci (9:47), Wilcox (11:17) and Santor (13:02) each scored a goal. Rowan then recorded the next six goals, taking a 6-4 lead into the break. Wood hit the back of the net twice (19:15 and 22:11) while Hofbauer (17:25), Bollendorf (18:31), Sucharski (21:14) and Emerson (27:12) tallied one goal apiece.
Roberts (33:39) and Santor (34:00) registered back-to-back goals, knotting the game at six. Wood gave Rowan a 7-6 advantage with 25:21 remaining. The Ducks then scored seven unanswered goals, making the score 13-7 with 4:32 on the clock. Emerson (58:08) and Herbert (59:20) registered goals to cap off the scoring.
Rowan hosts Kean University in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m.
