Box Score CLERMONT, FL – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team lost to SUNY Fredonia, 14-8 on Tuesday afternoon.
Midfielder Marissa Cussins (sr. Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post W.) led Fredonia with six goals and two assists. Attack Katie Glagolev (sr. Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) scored four goals and midfielder Audrey Yokopovich (fr. Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) added two tallies. Midfielder Katie Kleine (gr. Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) registered one goal and three assists. Attack Emily Polizzi (so. Rushville, NY/Marcus Whitman) chipped in with one goal.
For Rowan, attack
Becca Wood (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) produced four goals. Attack
Rachel Emerson (jr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) scored two goals and assisted on two more. Midfielder
Ali Herbert (so. Little Egg Harbor, NJ/Pinelands Reg.) totaled one goal and one assist and midfielder
McKayla Earley (fr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) had one goal.
Fredonia has a record of 3-1 and Rowan falls to 1-2. Blue Devils' goalie Nicole Burrows (fr. Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) made eight saves to earn the victory. Goalie

Cussins (1:19) and Kleine (2:24) gave the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead. Wood cut the deficit in half with 25:06 on the clock, then Fredonia scored two straight for a 4-1 advantage (11:13). The Profs tied the game after three consecutive goals by Wood (11:54, 14:43 and 16:40). The Blue Devils responded with scores from Cussins (22:10) and Glagolev (23:13) for a 6-4 lead. Herbert hit the back of the net from Emerson with 2:15 remaining. The score was 6-5 at the break.
Fredonia started the second half with six straight goals to go ahead 12-5 with 15:07 on the clock. Emerson scored (47:10) from Herbert and Glagolev registered a goal (51:02) from Cussins, making it 13-6. Emerson tallied another goal with 8:28 to play on a free position attempt, but Cussins responded at the 58:23 mark. Earley completed the scoring (58:50) from Emerson.
The Profs wrap up their trip to Florida on Friday when they face Allegheny College at 11 a.m.
